Eldercraft

Terms of Use

These terms set out the agreement between you and Insight AI Systems Limited ("we", "us"), which operates Eldercraft. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. They are written to be readable.

1. Who can use Eldercraft

You must be at least 18 to hold an account in your own name. Seekers aged 13–17 may participate through a verified school, guild or parent/guardian account. There is no upper age limit and no minimum age for mentors beyond 18 — we vet on skills, not age.

2. What Eldercraft is — and is not

Eldercraft is a platform that introduces skilled older people to those who want to learn from, work with, or appoint them. We are not the employer of mentors, and we are not party to the work agreement reached between a mentor and a seeker. We do not handle payments between mentors and seekers. We moderate introductions and intervene where our safeguarding policy requires it.

3. Your account

4. Conduct

You agree not to:

5. Fees and money

6. Intellectual property

You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting it you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on Eldercraft and to use anonymised excerpts to promote the service. Knowledge connected to indigenous and Pacific traditions remains the property of the community that holds it.

7. Safeguarding overrides

We can suspend, restrict or close any account where our safeguarding team believes there is a risk to a participant. See the Safeguarding Policy for detail.

8. Liability

Eldercraft is provided as-is. We are not liable for the actions, work, advice or omissions of mentors or seekers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is capped at the fees you have paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights under the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act or the Australian Consumer Law where they apply.

9. Disputes

We'd rather sort things out by talking first — email support@insight-ai-systems.com. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. The courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction, and we will not stop you from bringing a small-claims matter in your home jurisdiction where the law allows it.

10. Changes

We will email you at least 30 days before any material change. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
